The end of an era, Marc Smith is no longer with us. He is missed and remembered by many. We have a few pieces of Marc's work left, there will be no more. Marc was known for his buckeye burl carving of everything from herons to whales to turtles. He also worked some redwood, maple, and myrtle burl. Marc was one of our few artists that used a gloss lacquer finish. Combined with his buckeye and other burl pieces his work often looks like stone.
