Our other section of mantels consists of dry, cured pieces. Most of the mantels in this section are not yet dry. Mantels in this section are a lower cost than similar dry mantels. All these mantels are spectacular curly grain redwood which will list for an average of $1400 when cured. Most thick mantels sold by others are not dry, due to the years it takes to dry 5`` and thicker wood. Many mantels are installed green and cure in place, using a finish such as danish oil to protect the wood.
