Frog is a very important creature in Northwest Coast art and culture. Living in two worlds, water and land, Frog is revered for the ability to freely go between natural and supernatural realms. Frogs are primary spirit helpers of shamans. Frog often represents the voice of the common people. The emergence of frog from a hidden place may represent magic developing.
