Hand-carved mushroom group is crafted entirely out of salvaged local Cedar wood and roots from Whatcom County, WA. This piece, “Renewed” measures 14 x 13 x 9 and is priced at $1400. This carving looks like a castle! It’s gorgeous. The scorch marks are so fascinating. This beautifully detailed and finished curved Cedar root embraces a colony of handcrafted mushrooms. The artist researched where this piece of old-growth cedar root survived a fire and was scorched! Check out the photos! The fire was in 1894, along what we call today Chuckanut Drive near Bellingham, WA.
