This artist is a member of the Squamish Nation which consists of descendants of the Coast Salish Aboriginal peoples, originating from the greater Vancouver area, Gibson’s Landing and Squamish River watershed.

This young artist’s style is a blend of strong family Kwakwaka’wakw art styles, with unique personal taste towards contemporary inspirations. Vivid turquoise, teal, cinnabar red and black paint colors on yellow cedar highlight the great precision and accuracy of the carving.

According to North American Native tradition, the Blue Heron brings messages of self-determination and self-reliance. They represent an ability to progress and evolve.
